Purpose¶
Evaluate the consolidated stack against interoperability, correctness, and operator experience goals.
Evaluation Criteria¶
- Protocol fidelity: MCP 2025-11-25 compliance and cross-protocol mapping.
- Execution safety: runtime isolation, strict validation, and consistent error handling.
- Operability: tracing, metrics, and clear config surfaces.
- Extensibility: clean adapter points and minimal coupling between layers.
Findings¶
- Strengths: canonical tool model, progressive discovery pipeline, layered packages, deterministic wire contracts.
- Risks: incomplete runtime backends; adapter coverage limited; auth duplicated across repos.
- Opportunities: add A2A bindings using
toolprotocol, and unify adapter validation to report feature loss.
Recommendations¶
- Formalize adapter coverage (MCP/A2A/OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini).
- Establish runtime backend readiness tiers (prod, beta, stub).
- Consolidate auth into
toolops/authand wire it via middleware.
